Meet other families, discover new books, and build the foundations of life-long learning at a Library story time.

Mother Goose on the Loose

Join us for this fast-paced story time filled with fun activities designed to help babies and toddlers learn and grow. Music, movement, and stories build early literacy, social, and development skills – all while having fun!

Perfect for

  • children ages 0-4 and their caregivers.
  • adults must stay for the program.

Join Us

  • Thursday mornings at 9:30 & 10:30 AM, during regular library hours. (10:30 AM and 11:30 during our summer hours only.)
  • No MGOL on certain holidays or the fifth Thursday of a month. Please check our calendar for Mother Goose dates
  • No reservation required. Pick up your free tickets at the Children's Desk up to 30 minutes before the program starts. Tickets are first-come, first served. 

Family Storytime

Bring the whole family to story time at the library! This event features themed books, as well as movements and songs. Readers will also share helpful tips to make the most of your story time at home.

Join Us

  • Storytime takes place in the Children's Library on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30 PM.
  • Storytime is 30 minutes long.

Virtual Storytime Archive

Enjoy story time in your home! When our Family Storytime program is on hiatus, we read a new story each week for you to enjoy.

  • All videos are available via our private Facebook group. Watch them as many times as you'd like!
  • New story times are not currently being posted. 

Family Literacy

Are you a parent, grandparent, or caregiver who needs help with reading and writing? Family Literacy can help you support the children in your life, breaking the cycle of low literacy. Participants also receive age-appropriate books for their home libraries. You must be eligible for our Adult Literacy program to take part. Learn more about our Literacy Services.
